For my Major Project, I created visual representations of my experiences with ADHD and Dyslexia. My aim was to create work that resonates with neurodiverse individuals and helps neurotypical audiences better understand these conditions. I wanted my designs to reflect not just the technical challenges of these conditions, but also the emotional and sensory experience behind them. To achieve this, I used bold and chaotic layouts to mirror the sense of sensory overload and hyperfocus that often comes with ADHD. I included statistics I learned through my research, because many people don’t realize how common ADHD is. By showing figures like “4 in 100 people have ADHD,” I encourage viewers to see ADHD as a widespread, everyday experience and not just a niche condition.
